Next week, Genghis Tron will release Dream Weapon, their first new album in over a decade, via Relapse, featuring two new members: vocalist Tony Wolski and drummer Nick Yacyshyn (Sumac, Baptists). They’ve already shared a handful of tracks, including the title track, which was recently named one of the best new metal tracks of the month. Today, the group has shared a new video from their upcoming album for the new single “Pyrocene,” which was directed by Yoshi Sodeoka, who has directed clips for artists such as Tame Impala and Oneohtrix Point Never. The clip is pretty trippy, featuring a bunch of fluid, colorful animations that look like something between a lava lamp and single-celled organisms, with lots of kaleidoscopic effects altering them throughout. It fits the band’s dreamier, more shoegazing vibe of the new material quite nicely.

Check out the new video below.

Genghis Tron’s last album was 2008’s Board Up the House.
