Listen: New Swans – “Oxygen (To Be Kind)”
The Quietus has just premiered “Oxygen (To Be Kind)”, the second track to be released from Swans’ upcoming To Be Kind, which follows 2012’s colossal The Seer. This track follows “A Little God In My Hands,” which was a recent Endless Playlist pick. At eight minutes, this track is particularly menacing and intense, though it’s not the longest song on the album — not by a longshot. (That one’s about 30 minutes… more on that around the release of the album in May.) This one is pretty badass and loud, so if you can spare eight minutes of your time (over and over again), we recommend you strap your headphones on and let M. Gira & Co. take you for a white-knuckle ride. Listen to the track below.
To Be Kind will be released on May 13 via Young God (one day earlier in the UK via Mute).
