Tim Hecker shares new track “Keyed Out,” announces tour dates with Konoyo ensemble

Tim Hecker has released another track from his upcoming album, Konoyo, out via Kranky on September 29. Following the release of the lengthy “This Life”—which we named an Essential Track—Hecker has shared “Keyed Out,” another long and moody piece with lots of open space and a blend of harsh and ambient sounds. Listen to it below.

Hecker has also announced a series of tour dates in late 2018 and early 2019, featuring an ensemble of traditional Japanese Gagaku musicians on the shō, ryuteki and hichiriki playing along with Hecker. Take a look at those dates below.
