Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner announces solo debut album, Boeckner!

Wolf Parade‘s Dan Boeckner has announced his solo debut album, Boeckner!, which will be released via Sub Pop on March 15. Today he’s shared the first single, “Lose,” which you can hear below.

The album also features drummer Matt Chamberlain, Medicine’s Brad Laner, who assisted with vocal arrangements and added guitar flourishes throughout the record, as well as Kiwi Jr.’s Jeremy Gaudet, who co-wrote the song “Dead Tourists.”

Boeckner said in a statement, “Starting back when I was a teenager, my life in music has been trying to develop my own musical language, and this record is the beginning of presenting that.”

Wolf Parade’s last album was 2020’s Thin Mind. Their debut, Apologies to the Queen Mary, is featured on our list of 35 Essential Sub Pop Albums.
