Stream new Torche track, “Minions”
On Feb. 24, Torche will release Restarter, their follow-up to 2012’s Harmonicraft, via Relapse. And today, the band has shared the first track from the album, titled “Minions.” From the get-go, it sounds a lot like Torche: big and meaty guitars, heavy-ass riffs, drums that truly pummel, and hooks that make them stand apart from the rest of the metal pack. Perhaps that’s why they don’t often get called a “metal” band, though you can definitely hear metal in this, even if it’s just one element of the thunderous rock music the group hammers out.
