J Dilla rarities compilation, Dillatronic, due in October
On October 30, a newly unearthed collection of more than 40 rare J Dilla productions will be released, titled Dillatronic. It’s being released via Ma Dukes—who is Dilla’s mother—and Vintage Vibez Music Group. The album is being released on CD, 3xLP and in various deluxe edition packages, featuring bags, shirts, cassettes and other extras. Pre-orders for all formats can be found here.
“I can smile in my heart, knowing my son’s work is being shared with the people as we planned before he passed,” Ma Dukes says about the music in a statement. “I only share the best, and I only hope to continue introducing the world to the genius of J Dilla.”

February 5-7, 2016 is also the inaugural J Dilla Weekend, which will feature “high profile artists and DJs,” panels and BBQs. The event is being held in Miami. Tickets start at $70.
