In February, legendary indie band and slowcore pioneers Codeine will be playing the Numero Twenty festival in Los Angeles, which will feature performances from Unwound, The Hated, Karate, Rex, Chisel and more, all of whom have reissued some of their ’90s-era material via the Numero Group label. Ahead of that showcase, however, Codeine has announced a warmup show, which will be their first show in a decade.
On February 11, one week before Numero Twenty, Codeine will play a headlining show at Union Pool in New York, with support from Weak Signal. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon.
Codeine recently released their archival album Dessau, which features previously unreleased recordings of songs that would eventually become The White Birch.
