Hear Armand Hammer and RP Boo pay tribute to Sun Ra on “Blood Running High”
This Friday sees the release of Outer Spaceways Incorporated: Kronos Quartet & Friends Meet Sun Ra, which is the latest installment of the Red Hot Organization’s ongoing series of tributes to the legendary Sun Ra and features a number of collaborative performances from the Kronos Quartet and other artists. Today, two more tracks have been shared from the album, including Armand Hammer and RP Boo’s new collab, “Blood Running High,” as well as Kronos Quartet’s collaboration with Terry Riley and Sara Miyamoto, “Kiss Yo’ Ass Goodbye.” Hear both below.
RP Boo said in a statement, “First Thing Is When I’m Contacted In Thought Of Being Able To Partake In A Music Project Or Remake, I Am Honored To Be In Assisting And With This Project As I Was Building And Formatting, Every Second I Smiled As The Track Was Unfolding And Revealing Itself From The Unknown, I Just Myself Became The Listener Finding The Track Being Played Back For Hours And Intaking The Way It Had Me Moving With Pure Joy.”
Armand Hammer added, “A Boo x Armand Hammer song feels like fantasy football for music fanatics. As a fan of RP Boo, this totally unexpected collaboration was a no brainer to agree to. We’re thankful to the Red Hot Org for making this a reality.”
