In 1215 at Runnymede, doo dah, doo dah, the nobles and the King agreed! Oh, da doo dah day! Treble has no sources to confirm whether or not Jay-Z was, in fact, inspired by Lisa Simpson’s Magna Carta mnemonic sing-along, but the hip-hop icon did, in fact, unveil the album cover of his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, next to the actual Magna Carta, on a lectern in Salisbury Cathedral in England. That’s some promo device!
You can see a gallery of images at Jay-Z’s Life and Times blog. And the actual cover art is up above. Magna Carta Holy Grail is out tomorrow, July 4.
