Stream the new Skeletonwitch album, Serpents Unleashed
Some metal critics say that Halloween is, for metal fans, much like it is for vampires on Buffy the Vampire Slayer — it’s best to stay in and let the normals play dark for one night. But then again, next week will see the release of Serpents Unleashed, Skeletonwitch’s follow-up to 2011’s Forever Abomination, and that sounds like a ghoulishly good time. The album was produced by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, and though you won’t be seeing the band on Disney property in Orlando anytime soon, you can most definitely stream the album early, courtesy of Pitchfork Advance.
