Wednesday night a number of musicians came together for the Jersey 4 Jersey benefit, to raise money for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund. Bruce Springsteen opened the broadcast with a performance of “Land of Hope and Dreams” with his wife and bandmate Patti Scialfa, and later returned to perform “Jersey Girl.”
The live-streamed benefit also notably included a performance from a reunited Fountains of Wayne, featuring Sharon Van Etten, who performed “Hackensack.” Vocalist Chris Collingwood dedicated the performance to their late bandmate Adam Schlesinger, saying, “This is for Adam, his parents, his children, and New Jersey.”
Other artists who performed throughout the evening included SZA doing “20 Something,” Bon Jovi with a pair of his from throughout his career, Tony Bennett and Halsey, along with appearances from Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Danny DeVito, Whoopi Goldberg and more.
