Battles, Squarepusher to play Warp25 festival
This year, the venerable UK electronic label Warp Records turns 25. And to celebrate, they’re throwing a party — in Poland. So, yeah, it’s kind of far away, but the lineup is pretty impressive. On Saturday, Sept. 20, Warp will have a curated day at the Sacrum Profanum festival in Krakow, Poland, featuring performances by a number of artists on the label. Squarepusher will be collaborating with the London Sinfonietta Cracova. And the London Sinfonietta will be performing works from the Warp catalog, as well as pieces by Lygeti and Steve Reich. Additionally, there will be performances by Battles, Autechre, Rustie, Darkstar, LFO, Hudson Mohawke, patten, and DJ sets by Bibio and Plaid.
Check out the full details for the festival on the Warp25 event’s Facebook page.
