Caribou shares new song, “Honey”
Caribou has released a new single. Today, Dan Snaith releases the upbeat house groove, “Honey,” which is his first new song as Caribou since the 2021 single “You Can Do It,” and his 2020 album Suddenly, as well as its accompanying remix album. It’s a track that’s been heard only in clubs up until now, and according to its Bleep listing, it’s arranged by Snaith and Kieran Hebden, a.k.a. Four Tet. As of yet there’s no news about a wider release, but the timeline feels about right for another new LP to drop soon. So watch this space, perhaps? Hear the new song below.
“Honey” is the kind of dancefloor banger that Snaith’s been known to make under his house alias, Daphni. In 2022, he issued his third release as Daphni, Cherry, which we named one of the Best Electronic Albums of 2022.
Caribou’s Up In Flames (released when he was known as Manitoba) is on our list of the 50 Best Albums of 2003.
