Hear a new song from Godflesh, “Land Lord”

Godflesh recently announced the details of their upcoming album Purge, which is out June 9 via Avalanche. And today, they’ve released another new song from the album, “Land Lord.” It’s a crushing, intense industrial-metal track backed with jungle breaks. Check it out below.

Godflesh’s Justin Broadrick said about the song in a statement, “LAND LORD references ownership, entitlement and the objectification of human beings, as practised by almost anyone who wields power”

Purge follows 2017’s Post-Self. Godflesh’s Streetcleaner is featured on our list of the 150 Best Albums of the 1980s.
