R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen, My Morning Jacket, Bon Iver promote democracy on National Voter Registration Day

Today is National Voter Registration Day, and on November 3 we’ll be participating in a crucial and consequential national election in the United States. As such, a lot of artists have shared messages to encourage voter registration and participation in November, and some of them are even adding some extra incentives. (Check to see if you’re registered here.)
My Morning Jacket have released a new 7-inch limited to 2,020 copies, which benefits Fair Fight, which advocates for fair voting practices.
The limited 7" features two versions of “Bring The Power Back Home” (acoustic & electric) and proceeds support @fairfightaction’s initiative to promote fair elections, educate voters on their rights, and bring awareness to election reform. Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has announced an initiative to personally meet with people who are on the fence about voting. (!)
Do you know someone who’s on the fence about voting? Someone who hasn’t registered to vote, and maybe won’t? Justin Vernon would like to visit with them. Open to Eau Claire county residents this week; more to follow.
