Explosions in the Sky share new song “Moving On”

Explosions in the Sky recently announced the details of their new album End, which is due out September 15 via Temporary Residence. After sharing the first single “Ten Billion People” last month, today they’ve shared “Moving On.” Hear it below.

“Every song comes from a story, or an idea one of us has had that we’ve all expanded on and made its own world,” the band said in a statement. “Maybe it’s our nature, but we kept feeling that the album title was ultimately open to a lot more interpretation—the end of a thing or a time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, and what happens after one thing ends might pale in comparison to what it becomes next.” 

Explosions in the Sky’s last album was 2016’s The Wilderness. Their album The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place is featured on our list of the 50 Best Albums of 2003.
