tUnE-yArDs – “Water Fountain”

“Water Fountain,” the new video to be released from tUnE-yArDs‘ new album Nikki Nack, is pretty much quirk and silliness overload. Merrill Garbus sings to her fingers, monster puppets dance around a Pee-Wee’s Playhouse style set, the camera spirals through an 8-bit video game animation of a house, and all kinds of other wacky visuals crop out throughout the course of its 3 minutes and 22 seconds. Directed by Joel Kefali, the video was, in fact, inspired by Pee Wee Herman, and is a lot of fun to watch — which is exactly what you can do, below.
