Watch swirling patterns in the video for The Knife’s “A Cherry On Top”
“A Cherry On Top,” the abstract dirge from The Knife’s new album Shaking the Habitual (our current album of the week) isn’t the most obvious fodder for a music video, although if you hadn’t noticed, The Knife aren’t paying much attention to conventions of pop music these days (and thank goodness for that!). The clip is fairly simple, much more so than their videos for “Full of Fire” or “A Tooth for an Eye,” and focuses on swirling colorful patterns, much like those featured on their album artwork. Watch below and be hypnotized.
