Speedy Ortiz has kind of been winning the music video game this year, first with their horror-flick themed “Raising the Skate” video, and now with the release of their “My Dead Girl” clip. Inspired by the films of David Lynch, the Elle Schneider-directed video for the Foil Deer standout tracks depicts singer and guitarist Sadie Dupuis as the Lady in the Radiator from Eraserhead and her own sort of Agent Cooper of Twin Peaks, while nodding to Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive in the process. There are also puppets, which are fun. It’s a Lynchian good time.
